Listen to how Dr. Stan Pierce benefited from having an audio interview published on the web:
My name is Dr. Stan Pierce, and I had a patient that came in today who was a new patient referred down to the office through the internet. She actually didn’t have a source contact for her referral, so when I asked her how she heard about us, she said that she had been going on-line researching upper cervical doctors, and she was deciding between me and another doctor, and I asked her what caused her to make her decision to come in to see me rather than the other doctor, and she said she had heard an interview that I had done with Dr. Paul Hambrick, and based upon the knowledge she got from the interview, she came to see me. So thank you Dr. Hambrick.
You can benefit from having audio on your website, just like Dr. Pierce.
Why should you take the time to consider having an audio interview of yourself published into a podcast for your website, the iTunes directory, or for CDs to give away to your patients or potential patients?
There are many benefits to having an audio version of the information that you educate patients with everyday.
- You are able to leverage your knowledge and expertise in another medium.
- You are able to reach a different group of people (some prefer audio, some written word, and some video).
- You’re able to offer more value to your current patients and potential patients.
- You can allow access to material at a time and place that suits your listeners (not you). They can download it and listen while exercising, on their way to work, etc.
- Engage your patient, or potential patient better.
- Increase trust, and develop your relationship with your patients/potential patients – by hearing your voice they feel they know you better and that you’re being more open and honest with them.
- Establish yourself as the expert in your field effectively eliminating any possibility of being observed as just another chiropractor.
Consider the audio programs that you listen to – isn’t there a credibility attached to the person that you are listening to either consciously, or subconsciously?
You can achieve the same effect with your patients and potential patients when you have audio material – featuring yourself – to give to them.
Think of how powerful it would be if a potential patient is looking for a solution to their problem, they are researching on the web, and they come across your website.
As they are reading about what you do, and how you can help, they happen to see that you have a short, professionally produced audio program available on your site featuring yourself being interviewed about how you helped a patient with a particular condition, and that condition is the exact condition the potential patient was researching.
Do you think that person is more likely to give your office a call for a consultation, especially if a specific offer is made on the audio program?
Or what if you have an existing patient who asks you if you’ve ever treated someone with lupus, and you are able to hand them a CD with an interview, featuring you, talking about how you helped a patient suffering with lupus by correcting their atlas?
Wouldn’t that set you apart from any other health care professional that had been consulted by that potential patient?
These are just a few examples of how having a series of audio interviews can help you build your relationship with your patients, and build trust with potential patients before they ever even meet you.
Just being able to hear your voice before they ever even call your office is a major step towards gaining the trust of your potential patients, as they will already feel a connection with you; as if they already know you.
I am proud to now offer, for the first time, an audio interview podcasting service for the upper cervical doctor.
Not only will this service help build your practice, but it will also serve as published content which will help to spread the message of hope that upper cervical chiropractic care offers to the world.
I started Testimonial Tuesday with Dr. Drew Hall as a service to the upper cervical community.
I chose to collaborate with Dr. Hall because he always had some of the most incredible upper cervical success stories, but obviously he isn’t the only one with amazing stories to tell.
You have similar stories happening in your own practice.
While Testimonial Tuesday with Dr. Drew Hall serves to publicize upper cervical chiropractic in general and the uppercervicaldocs.com website, this audio interview podcasting service is designed to publicize you, and your clinic.
And the good news is, all you have to do is show up for the recording. I’ll do everything else for you.
Here’s how it works:
1)
You and I will connect via Skype or phone to conduct a series of short interviews where I will act as the host of a radio program and you tell stories about how you have helped a specific patient with a specific condition.
These are simple anecdotal case studies. No names are ever mentioned, and no scientific pre and post data is ever mentioned.
They are just stories about how you had a patient who suffered with a particular condition, and how they experienced relief after you corrected their atlas.
We will record several of these at a time.
Then I will take that raw audio and divide it up into individual shows, professionally edit them with opening and closing music and remove all mistakes and artifacts.
To hear examples of this process, both raw and finished, just watch the “Featured Upper Cervical Interview” movie over in the sidebar, for an example of a raw recording, and then listen to any of the finished, published Testimonial Tuesday episodes.
Once completed, the interviews are yours to use as you see fit in addition to publishing them on the web.
You can take the finished programs, and burn them to CDs to give to your patients to listen to, buy local radio time, or you can even use them in place of your on-hold music… might as well let potential patients hear how upper cervical can help them rather than elevator muzak while they’re on hold.
Now, you have a podcast – that’s great, but you need a place to publish them.
Maybe you already have a website for your clinic, and that’s excellent, we can certainly publish your podcast on your clinic’s website.
But think of a website as a piece of real estate… the more you have, the better, right?
2)
So with this audio/podcast recording service, I’m going to give you a website for publishing your weekly podcast, including the cost one years worth of a specific domain name.
A good domain name is one that is descriptive, and easy to remember, so you might choose drsmithstestimonials.com if your name is Dr. Smith, or SpringfieldClinicStories.com if your clinic is called Springfield Clinic… you get the idea.
The website will look very professional and contemporary, nothing fancy.
It’s merely a place for publishing your weekly stories, and for sending your patients and prospective patients to so they can hear your weekly testimonial stories.
The website will link back to your clinic website, and your clinic website will link to the testimonial website.
Linking back and forth helps both websites rankings in Google searches.
Speaking of which, both your weekly audio interview/podcast and your testimonial website will be optimized for local search, so if a prospective patient is searching for a condition that you’ve treated, your testimonial website will have a much greater chance of showing up in the search engine results.
Each week, your finished, polished podcast will be published to this website.
So far, you have a podcast, and you have a website to publish them on each week.
Now you need to have a “voice” in the online community.
This is better known as social media.
Social media is the online equivalent of word of mouth marketing… the best kind of marketing there is.
Latest statistics state that 41% of the social media traffic is on Facebook.com.
This means that 41% of your patients and potential patients are probably hanging out on Facebook.
3)
So with this service package you get a Facebook page devoted to your weekly testimonial podcast.
Your Facebook page will simply be a place “in the community” for your testimonial stories to be linked to, and your testimonial stories will show up on your Facebook page automatically… you don’t have to do a thing with this page, unless you choose to respond to feedback left on your page by visitors.
Which is a good idea, by the way.
Of course there will be a link back to your clinic website, and your hours of operation and location will be listed on your Facebook page as well.
Encourage your existing patients with Facebook accounts to become a “Fan” of your testimonial page, and share it with their friends.
Well, you have an interview, published on a website and a voice in the community promoting the podcast.
You also need a platform to let everyone know whenever you publish a new podcast.
4)
So, with this package, you also get a Twitter account devoted solely to the testimonial programs.
If you don’t know much about Twitter, or if you just “don’t get it,” don’t worry.
Twitter is not a place to tell people your cat rolled over, even though a lot of people use it that way.
Twitter is a powerful marketing platform that is loved by Google and the other search engines, and a powerful fire hose of information that can blast a message out to multiple venues.
Think of it as an electronic press release device.
Every time a new podcast is published, your Twitter account will automatically send a press release to the world wide web letting it know.
Now the only thing you need is a simple way for your listeners to download and listen to your podcast on demand.
5)
Your testimonial podcast will be submitted to the iTunes directory.
iTunes is Apples store for delivering music, movies and apps to their customers, and the iTunes podcast directory is one of the most popular and easy methods for your patients to download your podcast and listen to it on their iPod, or iPhone, on demand, whenever they want to listen.
To summarize, you get:
- A series of testimonial interviews featuring yourself telling stories of how you’ve helped your patients through upper cervical that can be recorded onto CDs, or repurposed as on-hold music.
- A website to publish the interviews each week, which will also include the cost of a personal domain name for 12 months.
- A Facebook page to give you and your testimonial stories a voice in the online community.
- A Twitter account for announcing whenever a new interview is published.
- Submission to the iTunes podcast directory so they can be easily downloaded to your patients iPhone, iPod or iPad.
If you were to itemize each of these and purchase them individually, you could easily pay close to $2,000.
A 3-5 hour recording session, which is the equivalent can cost nearly $800 alone, and the simplest of websites can cost $500 not including monthly hosting fees.
But this testimonial package which includes recording, editing, website, Facebook page, Twitter account and iTunes directory submission will cost you only $600 for 12 testimonial recordings, plus a one-time $199 set up fee.
12 testimonials which will be published one at a time, one per week, for 12 weeks.
If you decide you would like to record more testimonials, it will just cost you an additional $600 for each additional 12 testimonials you would like to record.
And, if you choose to purchase 4 quarters worth of podcasts, I’ll throw in 4 FREE just to make it an even 52 weeks of podcasts.
They will continue to be published, one per week, for however many weeks it takes to publish them all.
This is not just a tactic, but a complete internet and audio marketing strategy and really makes you stand out in your community.
It will also help spread the word of how upper cervical chiropractic is a vital part of any health care regimen.
Most importantly, it will result in more patients in your practice.
You know what more patients means, but apart from the obvious reasons, more patients means you are helping more people.
I once heard Dr. Gentempo say, at an upper cervical conference, “You don’t need new patients… your new patients need your services.”
You owe it to your patients and potential patients to spread the word about how you can help them achieve better health and alleviate health problems.
